Gear Up CC

Gear Up CC was launched back in 2017 when a group of us got together on Saturday mornings, as we had signed up for the 100 mile Sportive "Birmingham Velo", but had no way of training.  We soon realised through these training rides we loved cycling as a group and creating a welcoming, family culture on two wheels that wasn't often found at many other more exclusive, less accessible road cycle clubs.

Our group started to grow and many miles, laughs and punctures later, we now run two to three regular Saturday morning group rides, a Sunday ride and "Turbo Tuesday" evening rides over the summer. Why not come and join us.

Gear Up CC is more than just a Cycle Club. We are a community of cyclists passionate about cycling, community and connecting with each other.

New riders welcome, join us on strava and drop us an email to find out more! Weekly routes, groups and meet points will be published as Strava events on the club page. Please download the route in advance, so everyone knows where we are heading.
 

Saturday Group ride: both rides meet for a mid ride coffee stop together. Meet points in Castle Brom & Water Orton.
group A - 9am averaging approx. 17-19mph for 35-45mi.
Group B - 9am averaging 15-17mph for 30-35mi.
